Me and Adam both arranged a call where we would work together on producing the logo for heniz, however working on sepreate design to see what we both came up with. I started out by looking at various different typefaces I had already installed and wrote out the word heinz. I also went onto adobe fonts to and found some extra typefaces which I thought would work best for the branding. Above is a screenshot of all the typefaces I tried.
After exploring the different typeface I then began to apply some of them within the shape I produced which is shown above. I chose to use a script font for the logo as I really like the look and feel of the H and I thought it matched the brand. However, I found that when 'Heinz' was written out in this typeface it was very hard to read so I explored other typefaces for this within the designs.
I then went back through the typeface and I really liked 'omnes' and I found that this was a full font family with various different weights. So I wrote Heinz out within all the different weights shown above. I picked out the normal black and bold variety as I thought these would be the best for the design.
After Identifying the type I then moved onto experimenting with it to come up with lettermark logos. I also included the 57 as during my research I found this to used a lot within their branding. Above are the designs I produced.
I then took the 'omnes' typeface and began to use injunction with the shape I redesigned for the brand. I took the letter h and made it the focus point as I did within my design as I thought it worked well. As well as include the full name within the shape as well, to reflect the already existing branding. I also tried arching the type the same way as the existing branding.
